Yash Goyal

I'm a pre-final year Computer Science undergraduate at IIT Gandhinagar. Most of my work sits where a model meets the untidy version of its problem — calibrating real fisheye lenses rather than clean datasets, or asking whether a classifier that looks accurate overall is quietly failing one group of people.

My interests are machine learning, computer vision, federated learning and competitive programming, and my coursework and projects have mostly followed them. I've built end-to-end ML and data systems: a panoramic under-vehicle surveillance pipeline using fisheye calibration and OpenPano in C++, and a federated learning framework addressing demographic bias in gender classification.

Right now I'm strengthening DSA, OOP, system design and core CS fundamentals, and I'm open to internships, research collaborations, and conversations with people working across ML and software engineering.

Outside academics I'm a Student Guide at IITGN, helping first-year students find their footing on campus. Otherwise you'll find me on the basketball court, at a table tennis table, or in the pool — and generally up for trying something new.
